The Lawrence W. Tyree Library welcomes visitors with the understanding that some services may not be available to those not affiliated with Santa Fe College. All visitors must follow the library’s Building Use Policy. For directions to the library, visit the Library Location page.
Visitors may park in student spaces. Staff/faculty spaces are not available to visitors and are denoted by a blue line. Parking lots are available to the east and north of the building. Full campus parking rules are available at http://www.sfcollege.edu/pd/index.php?section=general_information.
Computers in the library have an authentication program that limits Internet access to current Santa Fe College students, staff, and faculty only. There is no guest Internet pass. Guests may use offline programs such as the Microsoft Office suite. Printing from offline programs is allowed; black and white printing is 10 cents a page and color printing is 75 cents a page. Payments may be made with nickels, dimes, quarters, $1 bills, or debit/credit cards. See the Printing page for more information.
The wireless network is open, and guests may use it with their personal devices. Connect to any Airwave access point. There is no wireless printing.
Reciprocal borrowing privileges are extended to currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff of all Florida public colleges and universities. Reciprocal borrowers may check out up to five items for a two week period. Some collections are not available to reciprocal borrowers. For more details, see our Circulation Policy: [PDF] [HTML]. Borrowing transactions require a picture ID card issued by the institution at which the borrower is currently enrolled or employed. Verification of enrollment or employment may be required. To request reciprocal borrowing privileges, please fill out the Request for Reciprocal Borrowing Privileges form. The Lawrence W. Tyree Library does not issue community or guest cards.
All visitors are welcome to use reference and circulating material so long as these remain in the building. Copiers are available on the 1st and 2nd floors. Black and white copies are 10 cents per page; color copies are 75 cents per page. Two BookScan stations are available on the 2nd floor. Material may be scanned for free and emailed or saved to a USB drive. Copyright Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using a copier or BookScan station is liable for any infringement.
The group study rooms are available exclusively for use by SF students, faculty, and staff.
